Living & Dining room

Elegant and Modern

This main floor renovation created an open concept floor plan to enable better furniture layout. It is now an entertainer's dream space, not having to walk around walls! Adding stunning touches, such as this gorgeous shag area rug takes the stage - inviting guests to have a seat! The low profile stone selected for the fireplace was chosen so it wouldn't look heavy or close in the width of the room. The stone dictated the colour palette for the furnishings keeping it bright and airy. Do you love this look? Half walls were removed at front entry and in the dining room, front hall closet and hallway walls removed to increase the entry from garage and create a larger laundry room with room to hang coats and more.

Columns were squared off but kept because they were structural.

The addition of a linear fireplace encased with a stone veneer surround is now the focal point, that welcomes guests to have their own personal seat in cozy club chairs.

Storage, and working space has increased immensely from what the homeowners had, due to a new layout of cabinetry and additional features added, such as the coffee servery, oversized breakfast bar and an uninterrupted 7' countertop surface great for client's baking hobby!
